After a few weeks working on our project, it is finally complete. If you don’t know what the project was, click here to find out. Within the project, my role was to prepare the back-end: database, web services, and data processing. We used PHP with CodeIgniter as the framework and MySQL as the database for the website. Other than creating the back-end, I also need to rework the front end to embed my PHP code into it to display some information. CodeIgniter is very new to me, so I needed some time to adjust to the new environment. But after getting the hang of it, everything was relatively faster than developing without framework. Most functions are already provided. The most important thing is, even the shopping cart feature is already provided in CodeIgniter! That saves me a lot of time for this project.
Should you need the source code for this project, you can find it here.
You can also watch a preview video of the website to see what it looks like.
